‘Krrish 3’ sets a new record with a single day highest collection

There was a time when the success of the film was marked through the number of weeks it has been in the theatre.

However, now it’s all about money! First it was the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ that created the buzz but soon King Khan starrer ‘Chennai Express’ overtook it, breaking all records in Bollywood.

And now we have ‘Krrish 3’ that has broken the record of the highest one-day collection of Rs35.91 crore.

To date the super hero flick has collected Rs 108.70 crore at the box office and Hrithik Roshan simply can’t stop sharing his excitement on a micro blogging site where the actor is not missing out on thanking anyone for the success of the movie.

Vivek Oberoi who plays the negative character in the film says, “The distributors had told us that the collections won’t go up to a certain point but it’s overwhelming to get such response.”

The only question is whether it will break the record of ‘Chennai Express’ and become the biggest blockbuster in Bollywood. Although it is in for a tough competition with the yet to release Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’.
